A Sweet Celebration: Hardisty’s Homewares Cookie Contest 2025

At Hardisty’s Homewares, we’ve been at the heart of Sonoma County for generations, proudly supplying timeless tools and treasures that transform houses into homes. Nestled at 1513 Farmers Ln, our store has long served as a gathering place for the local community as a haven where neighbors become friends, and culinary creativity flourishes. On Saturday, October 18, 2025, we were honored to host our first ever Cookie Contest, that celebrated the warmth, nostalgia, and joy of home baking. This event brought together the talents of our vibrant community, filling the air with the comforting aroma of freshly baked cookies and the laughter of shared memories.

A Recipe for Success

The 2025 Cookie Contest was nothing short of magical, a testament to the passion and creativity of local home bakers. From 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Hardisty’s Homewares buzzed with excitement as contestants showcased their delectable creations, each cookie a story of tradition, innovation, and love. Under the discerning palate of Chef Victor Aguilera, renowned winner of Chopped, participants aged 18 years and older presented one dozen cookies for judging and sampling. The event was a delightful blend of friendly competition and community spirit, with attendees savoring every bite and celebrating the artistry of our local bakers. It was a day that reminded us of the simple joys found in a homemade cookie and a shared smile.

About the Event

The Cookie Contest welcomed home bakers to compete in a showcase of skill and flavor, open to all Sonoma County residents aged 18 and up. Participants pre-registered early and then brought their best cookies to Hardisty’s Homewares on the day of the event for a chance to shine. Judged by Chef Victor Aguilera, the event not only highlighted culinary talent but also fostered a sense of togetherness, as families, friends, and neighbors gathered to cheer on their favorites. Each cookie was a testament to the creativity and heart of our community, making the day an unforgettable day of baking heritage.
